Raven
She is a curious girl that likes to watch what you are doing, but is not always real sure that she wants to come up to you. If you have food and stand real still, she will come up and eat out of your hand. We are working everyday to gain her confidence so she will let us pet her. If we harness her, she will lead, but she is still very cautious. She will let you pet her when harnessed, but would prefer that you don’t touch her head. That being said, she loves my youngest son. He can walk right up to her and put his arms around her neck. If anyone else approaches, she will try and run. But she loves him.

Schatzi
This girl is always ready for food. If you have it, she wants it. She will come up to you and eat out of you hand, the bucket, whatever you have. She doesn’t always want you to pet her, but sometimes, you can sneak a little pet. If we harness her, she is very loving and will let you pet her and lead her around easily. She never offers to spit at anyone and is very sweet.
Sadly, our sweet Schatzi passed away of old age. She was almost 20 years old. She will be missed.

Layla
This girl is a spitfire. She is quick to come up for food, but not always happy to get a pet. She only has one eye, so you have to be careful when in with her. If you are on her blind side, sometimes you can spook her and she will run. She likes to watch from a distance and see what you are doing when you have food before approaching. She will harness and walk nicely on a harness and even let you hug her. She has a bond with my youngest child. He is able to walk right up to her and give her a hug.

Pearl
Oh sweet Pearl. She will come for food and will eat out of your hand. She doesn’t want you to make any sudden movements and will quickly move away if you do. She is very sweet and similar to Raven in her manners. She usually hangs back and watches before approaching.

Qtip
If you want some alpaca love, this is your girl. How do we tell them apart you ask? Well, you will know right away which one she is because if you have food, she is on you. She will eat out of your hand, the bucket, the scoop, whatever you have. I think you if put it in your pocket and she saw, she would be in your pocket. Most of the time, we have to move her head out of the way to let the others get some food. She is a very sweet girl that will let you pet her while she eats and if you are in there with her you can get some Qtip hugs while feeding her. Sometimes, you can get Qtip hugs even without food if she is in the mood for extra love.

Lyla
This is a super goofy girl. She will be the first one to meet you at the fence because you probably have food. And if you don’t have food, she will keep coming back to check just to be sure you didn’t get any food while she wasn’t looking. She’s a sweet girl that is very curious. Not to mention her sweet funny looks.

Caramel
This is our only male. He has a very distinct color and is shaved all the way up. He’s not as loving as the girls are, but if you have food, you are his friend. He will eat right out of your hand. If he is eating at the feeder, you can walk up and pet his neck and head. He doesn’t mind. Watch out though if he starts making noises at the girls and he is eating. Someone is getting ready to get a little surprise. If you are close by, it may be you, so be cautious. He doesn’t like to share food with anyone.

Rick and Dale
These two boys are going to be all over you from the minute you enter the fence. Food, no food, they don’t care. The want to see you, love you, eat your clothes, jump on you………..you get the picture. They love everyone. Dale has the lighter brown coloring on his face and Rick is a darker brown. They are twins. These guys are.a nubian / boer mix. They are big goofs. They manage to get into trouble and need rescue sometimes.

The Flock
When you are in the fence, you will see chickens running around . The flock are all golden comet hens except for one black jersey. They don’t mind you picking them up and carrying them around. Some are more happy to get loved on than others.

Storm
We got this sweet girl at the Dixie Auction around Thanksgiving. She is an 15 year old registered quarter horse. She loves treats and her food. She has a strong personality and will show you real quick that she is boss in the field.

Cedar
This sweet girl came from the Dixie Auction too. Her papers say 9 years old, but she’s more like 18-20 year old quarter horse. She is a quiet girl that is glued to her friends in the field. You can do about anything to her and she won’t spook. She loves her treats and head scratches.

Leroy
This crazy guy came from the Dixie auction too. He is a 10 year old standard donkey. He is the guardian of the fields. He loves his friends in the field and keeps a close eye on them. His favorite human is this little guy on his back. He loves him and will follow him all over the field. He’s learning to trust us and is doing much better.
